So THIS is how you get away with murder.

21-year-old yumi huang was diagnosed with leukemia in 2005. The rare blood cancer caused her to lose so much weight she was unrecognizable to her friends and family. Yumi didn't smoke or have any genetic disorders so why did she develop such a rare disease? Yumi's parents didn't have the money to send her to university but she got a job at samsung and hopes to save enough money for a future wedding and a brother to go to university. But that never happens because just like yumi, samsung often hires obedient high school students without a university degree by. hiring them without a college degree. yumi shouldn't have gotten leukemia she. was just 21 years old most cases of the. leukemia she had mainly affected men older than 65.. she didn't smoke she didn't  have any genetic disorders so why. did a young healthy girl with her whole. life ahead of her develop such a rare. disease? To understand why we need to. rewind to 2002 yumi's last year in high. school her dad a taxi driver didn’t have. enough money to send her to university. but luckily she landed a job at samsung. in south korea sSamsung often hires what. they call smart high school. students without a university degree by. working for s Samsung in South Korea. The story of how yumi became a victim of leukemia can be read in the book, Leukemia: The Untold Story of Blood Cancer, published by Simon & Schuster, £7.99, and available on Amazon.com, iTunes, Google Play, and other retailers.
